Oconomowoc Woman Vies For 'The Bachelor's' Eye

A new run of '"The Bachelor" begins Wednesday night on WISN 12 and this time, a Wisconsin woman is in the running.
Tina Panas, 22, of Oconomowoc, Wis., talked exclusively with 12 News anchorwoman Toya Washington.Panas is one of 25 women hoping an heir to the Firestone fortune, 27-year-old Andrew Firestone, will choose her to be his wife."I did feel a connection with Andrew. It was an overwhelming experience at first, but I did like him a lot," Panas said.
Panas is a 1998 graduate of Oconomowoc High School and graduated recently from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.She wouldn't say if she was picked, but said being from the Midwest gave her an advantage."I see the girls from the Midwest as an untapped resource because there's so many educated, beautiful women in Wisconsin that guys just don't seem to know about," Panas said."The Bachelor" airs at 8 p.m.Casting CallWould you like to be a part of the next "Bachelor?"WISN 12 is holding a casting call April 9 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Potawatomi Casino. The auditions will be in the Northern Lights Theater.Each woman must fill out an application. They can be picked up at the Fire Pit Sports Bar at Potawatomi or online at http://thebachelor.warnerbros.com/.Applicants must be 21 years old or older and must bring a photo ID with them.
